After the initial phone conversation, you will receive an email with the forms to be completed prior to your first appointment. We may be conducting virtual intake appointments, therapy, and feedback sessions, but will let you know prior to your appointment. During your first appointment, you will enter the building and take a seat in the waiting room. Someone will be with you as soon as possible.
When you contact us, we will conduct a brief 15 minutes free consultation to determine the services that best meets your needs. Please keep in mind there is a great need for our specialized services, but we will do our best to accomodate you. Many clients would like to meet after school and in the evenings, so daytime flexibility will increase your chances of getting an appointment. Please note we will do our best to accomodate time-sensitive, urgent needs whenever possible.

Cedar Tree’s mission is to provide highly effective personalized psychological services. From the time you first walk into our clinic until the time you leave, we believe that you will find hope for you or your child’s future and a clear picture of your family’s healthy functioning. We believe you will find our time-sensitive evaluation services provide clarity for diagnosis, information into an individual’s unique brain functioning, insight into personality and environmental factors, and concrete relevant recommendations for treatment. In addition, our therapy services, which are outcome and goal-based are timely, targeted, and highly effective to your specific needs. We feel privileged to work with our clients and strive to maintain a friendly, welcoming atmosphere.
Typically, the evaluation process take 2-4 appointments which includes:
  • 90-120 minute diagnostic interview (parent only for minors)
  • 4-6 hours of testing (1-3 appointments)
  • 60 minute feedback session
Therapy includes the following:
  • initial intake (60 minutes)
  • individual and group therapy sessions (50 minutes)
  • parent consultation, if applicable (50 minutes)
We are out of network with all insurance companies. However, insurance will typically cover some of the expenses of an out-of-network provider. Please note that insurance may not cover testing which they consider educational testing. Psychoeducational & psychological testing is CPT billing code 96130 for the first hour and 96131 for additional hours. Additional CPT codes for testing includes 96136 and 96137. Please contact your insurance company to determine what they cover for psychological assessment or therapy. We are happy to provide you with a Superbill, which you can file with your insurance company.
