Dr. Linda Huber, Founder

Dr. Linda Huber, Licensed Clinical Psychologist and Nationally Certified School Psychologist earned her Ph.D. in School Psychology from Northern Illinois University. Dr. Huber has conducted extensive research in the area of adolescent anxiety and has experience in both the clinical and school setting. Dr. Huber has training in Motivational Interviewing, (MI), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Social Thinking Strategies, and Social Skills Building. Dr. Huber has extensive experience working with neurodevelopmental disorders (i.e., ADHD, autism, etc.) and has received training in Pathological Demand Avoidance, which is a profile on the autism spectrum.

Psychological / Psychoeducational testing

We believe comprehensive evaluations should be the first step to informing treatment strategies. Our specialized testing services provide diagnostic and treatment clarity for Intellectual Disability, Intellectually Gifted, Autism Spectrum Disorders, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Specific Learning Disorders (e.g., dyscalculia, dyslexia), and mood disorders (e.g. anxiety & depression).

Strength-based Therapy

We specialize in therapy for older elementary children, adolescents, and young adults with anxiety, depression, and autism spectrum disorders. Our clinical therapeutic services are tailored to the client’s individual needs with the goal of restoring emotional health, building strong relationships, strengthening social skills, enhancing social thinking strategies, and/or compensating for sensory issues (e.g., visual, auditory, tactile).

EDUCATIONAL SERVICES

Our expertise with neurodevelopmental disorders, both from a clinical and educational perspective, provides families with tools to support their child’s growth (e.g., emotional, behavioral, social, and academic) and advocacy for their child’s needs in the public school system. We provide consultation, Independent Educational Evaluations, and are happy to attend Individual Education Planning meetings (additional charge) and/or consult with school personnel.
